Artist Statement
I am a world champion dyslexic whose first language is images. I have to balance myself between discipline and wanton joy when I create, because images are exciting to me, but I want them to be meaningful. Oftentimes, one canvas can't contain all I think and feel so its common for me to paint and draw in series.
There is an art to life. Like approaching a canvas, or any malleable material, an artful life works against a set of principles. I approach the canvas with respect the same way I hope to approach my life and my friends with respect. Every curious idea I have is explored in a physical space, honoring the rules of color, and light, hoping to manage them artfully and create meaning. I expect you'll see my world view woven into my pieces. My work explores "goodness", "truth" & "beauty" as defined by an Almighty Creator - a story that begins and ends with the Messiah.
